Outage Updates from Rappahannock Electric Cooperative
July 26, 2010
As of 7:00 am we have restored service to over 8,800 members through the evening and overnight. We currently have approximately 800 member-owners still without power. The service areas still affected with last night’s wind storm are Clarke County, Berryville, and Boyce. Trees down blocking roads causing access issues have been the biggest issues for our crews.
We are expecting additional contract crews this morning to replace broken poles and continue restoration efforts. We anticipate all repairs to be completed by late today. Customers should call toll free 1-800-552-3904 to report outages or downed power lines.
July 25, 2010 – 5:10 p.m.
Rappahannock Electric Cooperative is experiencing a large number of widespread outages in the Clarke, Frederick and Warren Counties and also in the Towns of Berryville and Boyce.
Very high winds came through with the weather front which resulted in tree and equipment damage. Tree trimming and line crews are responding. We are focused on getting the lights back on for our members as quickly as possible while maintaining safety as our first priority - safety of our members and safety of our crews.
