Grants
Each LEARN grant is meant to supplement - but not replace - state, local or other sources of funding. Eligible REC members are encouraged to apply.
Two $500 and two $1,000 education grants will be awarded to individual teachers, or groups of teachers, from grades K-12 who demonstrate creative teaching methods to students of Cooperative member-owners.
One $2,000 and two $1,000 community grants will be awarded to non-profit organizations serving REC members, or whose services directly benefit them.
Two $1,500 emergency service grants will be awarded to emergency response teams who are served by REC, or whose services directly benefit REC members.
The 2010 LEARN Grant application deadline is 5 p.m., Monday, April 5, 2010. Download the 2010 LEARN Grant application. All organizations will be notified of their application’s status (recipient or non-recipient) by April 30, 2010.
