Usage Management
At REC we know that managing the cost of your monthly electric bill is important. There are a number of factors that can impact your bill from month to month, such as the weather, your electric usage, a faulty appliance or even a gap under a door.
The resources listed on the right-hand side of this page can help you identify the sources of energy use in your home. This includes many simple steps you can implement to reduce your energy use.
Usage monitoring
After you review this material you may feel that you would benefit from a more in-depth look at your personal electricity usage. If so, you can request that REC send you a report on your usage over a one-week period.
That report would include your hourly meter readings and a daily temperature graph to illustrate the effects outdoor temperature can have on the energy consumption of your heating or cooling system. When submitting your request for this e-mail usage report, please provide your name and REC account number.
REC also offers a professional home energy audit at a competitive rate. Our trained energy professionals come to your location and provide suggestions for improvements to your heating system and to other areas of the home that will help save you money. Review our brochure.
