REC performs maintenance and upgrades to its electric distribution system each year that will provide continued delivery of reliable service. Sometimes this process involves rebuilding a large section of a line in an area to meet a specific need.
The electric distribution lines in REC's service territory are built to handle the electrical demand in the areas they serve. A lower capacity line can support an area where members use less electricity, while in more developed areas, a larger line is needed to support the demand for electricity.
REC will continue to make improvements to its system to meet the needs of its membership.
