Maintenance Schedule

REC applies Tree Growth Regulator to fast-growing trees located beneath overhead power lines.

Generally, this work is performed on our overhead facilities only and will not affect those members who have underground electric lines on their property.

REC is currently clearing vegetation from the rights of way for those members served by the following substations:

Buckner Substation
This substation serves the areas of Beaverdam, Buckner, Bumpass, Fredericks Hall, Green Bay, Jones Crossroad, Pendleton, Plum Tree, Terrel Store, and Tylers in Louisa County.

Chilesburg Substation
This substation serves the areas of Beaverdam, Blantons, Cedar Fork, Chilesburg, Green Bay, Hewlett, Lake Land 'Or, Noel, Partlow, and Teman in Caroline County.

Dunroamin Substation
This substation serves the areas of Culpeper, Merrimac, Mountain Run Lake, Norman, and Reva in Culpeper County.

Glenora Substation
This substation serves the areas of Brokenburg, Glenora, Lake Anna, Levy, Lewiston, Margo, and Wares Crossroads in Spotsylvania County.

Old Chapel Substation
This substation serves the areas of Berryville, Gaylord, Lewisville, and Stringtown in Clarke County.

Viscose Substation
This substation serves the areas of Front Royal, Buckton, Bethel Church, Waterlick, Wakeman Mill, Lower Valley, and North Fork in Warren County.
