Maintenance Schedule
REC applies Tree Growth Regulator to fast-growing trees located beneath overhead power lines.Generally, this work is performed on our overhead facilities only and will not affect those customers who have underground electric lines on their property.
REC is currently clearing vegetation from the rights of way for those customers served by the following substations:
Lahore Substation
This substation serves the areas of Daniel, Danton, Lahore, Monrovia and Thornhill in Orange County.
Port Royal Substation
This substation serves the areas of Hustle, Loretto, Port Royal, Rappahannock Academy and Supply in Caroline County.
Quinque Substation
This substation serves the areas of Amicus, Celt, Dogwood Valley, Quinque, Stanardsville and Twin Lakes in Greene County.
Vontay Substation
This substation serves the areas of Dabneys, Inez, Montpelier, Oilville, Rockville, Shelfar and Vontay in Hanover County.
