Maintenance Schedule
REC applies Tree Growth Regulator to fast-growing trees located beneath overhead power lines.Generally, this work is performed on our overhead facilities only and will not affect those members who have underground electric lines on their property.
REC is currently clearing vegetation from the rights of way for those members served by the following substations:
Brandy Substation
This substation serves the areas of Edwards Shop, Elkwood, Kellys Ford, Lignum, and Richardsville in Culpeper County.
Enfield Substation
This substation serves the areas of Acquinton Church, Aylett, Enfield, Etna Mills, Four Fork, Globe, Manquin, Pollards Corner, Turpin, and Upshaw
in King William County.
Front Royal Substation
This substation serves the areas of Bentonville, Browntown, Buckton, Chester Gap, Front Royal, Limeton, Riverton, and Waterlick in Warren County.
Orange Delivery Point Substation
This substation serves the areas of Aroda, Rochelle, and Uno
in Orange County.
Pratts Substation
This substation serves the areas of Banco, Barboursville, Brightwood, Criglersville, Etlan, Gordonsville, Haywood, Locust Dale, Madison, Oak Park, Ruckersville, Somerset, Syria, and Twyman Mills in Madison County.
Riverton Substation
This substation serves the areas of Cedarville, Ninevah, Reliance, Shenandoah River Estates, and Success in Warren County.
