We were in the studio with Casey Hollins, Director of Communications and Public Relations for Rappahannock Electric Cooperative to get five tips to tame your electric bill.

  1. Set your heat to 68 degrees or lower.
  2. Seal your windows and your doors.
  3. Wrap your water heater in a blanket if it’s in an unconditioned space.
  4. Avoid using a wood burning fireplace.
  5. If you have a crawl space, close the vents and seal the crawl space access door with weatherstripping.
