REC Supports National Night Out Events Across Virginia
Wednesday | August 3, 2022

National Night Out takes place annually on the first Tuesday of August in communities around the country. The purpose is to bring law enforcement and neighbors together in a safe, positive environment. It is a great opportunity for REC to build relationships and share safety information.

On Aug. 2, Jeff Cropp, Member Service Representative; Jeff Scheidemantle, Member Service Representative; Travis McCourt, Lineman; and Bailey Christian, Apprentice Lineman, participated in the Culpeper National Night Out, while Linemen Chris Fasenmyer and Kory Settle supported the event in Stanardsville.

Matt Beasley, Member Service Field Representative, and Michelle Wells, Member Service Representative II and Team Leader, represented REC at the annual National Night Out in Berryville. They interacted with members and showed off REC’s Chevy Bolt.

In the Eastern Region, Gavin Perry, Apprentice Lineman, joined the Louisa National Night Out to talk with members about safety.

Martin Perkins, Member Service Representative, and Wesley Storke, Member Service Field Representative, participated in the Beaverdam National Night Out. Attendees learned about MyREC SmartHub and how to sign up for outage text alerts.

Ray Seip, Field Operations Foreman, and Sequaya Smith, Member Service Representative, visited with members at the King William National Night Out. Attendees learned about The Power of Change and REC’s Annual Meeting.

Alister Pollard, Lineman, and Harold Billups, Member Service Field Representative, connected with members at the Caroline National Night Out, which was held at County Line Baptist Church. Families learned about the ways REC works to provide reliable service.
