SurgeAssist helps cover the costs of repairing or replacing electrically powered devices in your home that have been damaged by an electrical surge.

How Are Surges Caused?

Surges can be caused by natural or man-made events such as lightning, trees contacting power lines and vehicle accidents.

How Does SurgeAssist Work?

It provides reimbursement – up to $2,000 in a rolling 12-month period – if equipment has to be repaired or replaced due to surge damage.

What is a Surge?

A power surge is a short burst of extra energy or brief period of insufficient energy. These brief variations in the flow of energy can damage electrical devices, especially sensitive electronic equipment.

SurgeAssist covers surge-related issues that affect most home electronics and appliances, including refrigerators, HVAC systems, well pumps, TVs, microwaves, computers, washers, dryers, stoves and wall ovens.

SurgeAssist costs only 20 cents a day. For only $5.95 per month, SurgeAssist offers peace of mind that the appliances and electronics you depend on each day can be affordably repaired or replaced if they are damaged by a surge. If you are not happy with the service, you can discontinue it at any time. **Protection under the program starts thirty (30) days after the first payment is received.
